Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AkOps Labs ("we", "us") collects when you use akopslabs.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in with Google, GitHub or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. We do not receive your password.
• Playground progress. XP, levels, badges, streaks and completed lessons are stored in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent to our servers.
• Purchases. If you buy a plan, payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of your plan, not your full card details.
• Basic usage data. Our hosting provider may log technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance.

2. How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To give you access to the projects and support included in your plan.
• To contact you about your account, purchases or 1:1 support sessions.
• To improve the website and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Google user data

When you choose "Continue with Google", we only request your basic profile (name, email, profile picture). We use this solely to create and identify your AkOps Labs account. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data, and we do not share Google user data with third parties except the service providers listed below that help us run the site. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Service providers

• Supabase — account sign-in and authentication.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Google, GitHub, LinkedIn — only if you choose to sign in with them.
• Our payment provider — only if you make a purchase.

5. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing hello@akopslabs.com. You can clear your playground progress at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme and save your playground progress. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Children

AkOps Labs is intended for people aged 13 and over.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
